Rachel and Henry moved from Williamsburg, VA to Las Vegas for a job transfer. Because of the higher cost of living, Henry started working as a part-time at a wedding chapel as a minister performing ceremonies. Soon after, Rachel also started performing wedding ceremonies. What she didn’t know was that she would fall in love with the business.
C reating a business was always one of their lifelong dreams. After years of dreaming, Rachel and Henry made a daring move to open The Lucky Little Wedding Chapel in 2015. It started small with one little interior suite, but they wanted to conduct a high-end, 5-star business they could be proud of.
With initial success, they needed more space as they expanded their business to tux and gown rentals, along with beautifully crafted custom bouquets, and so they renovated additional space at their chapel. They continued to expand their business in May 2017 by expanding into a storefront, which gave them greater visibility and more space for a full tux and gown shop, guest services, and two chapels which can hold 16 guests in one and 30 guests in another.
The year 2018 held even more expansion as they open Lucky Events to host larger wedding ceremonies, receptions, and other occasions. It also expanded photography opportunities including destination weddings.
The heartbeat of Lucky Events is Love! Rachel and Henry love what they do, and they love people which shows all around the business. They are committed to excellence and guest satisfaction whether they choose to simply rent the event space or purchase complete package. Their goal is for everyone to experience a memorable event as they trust Lucky Events to host their special occasion.
About Rachel & Henry
O ften, Rachel and Henry would describe themselves as hopeless romantics. It was 21 years ago when they saw each other in a crowded room and love drew them together. One year later, Henry proposed to Rachel, and they were married four months later.
As a young couple, money was always tight, so Rachel tried saving money by do-it-yourself projects (decor, bouquets, etc.). Prior to that, she begged Henry to elope in Las Vegas which he quipped, "No! We need to be married in the church." Fast forward 22 years later, and they're performing Vegas weddings every couple can be proud of!
Henry spends most of his time performing ceremonies, managing guest concerns, and the staff. His favorite part of the industry is the people he has the pleasure of working with. Meeting people from all around the world and learning about their stories is an honor and a blessing.
Rachel is in charge of the design and aesthetics, sales and business management, and performing ceremonies. To her, love is the formula of a good life. To find someone you can share a beautiful life with is a unique honor. Love is such a fantastic environment that sometimes she has to hold her tears while performing wedding ceremonies because it is such a moving experience.
This is a family business with both of their sons, Noah and Michael, who are actively involved at every location. In the business of their business, Rachel recalls that it was just four of them manning the original chapel. She was so worried about what people would think when they saw two young boys working there. Now, they can manage the business without supervision! Noah is their top-selling wedding coordinator, and Michael is an accomplished photographer.
